I have a friend i am very deeply cocerned about at the moment she been having these "weird" dreams/nightmare recently right before the dreadful ap exams(credit in college) for example during one of these dream she dreamt she was going downhill at approximately 80 miles per hour with no car no one no object around her and the end of the road was not visible the hill got steeper and steeper and she went faster and faster the breaks didn't work and she realize it was a dream at that point but she couldn't move a single inch of her body and she started suffocating in her dream but she eventually woke up and was staring at the ceiling before going back to sleep do anyone of you know what may have caused this and and solution you can think of she's about a teenager and i have never ever heard of this happening to anyone before i am deeply concern over her safety and would like to help as much as possible any input is fully welcomed
I think her dream is just a manifestation of her worry over the ap exams…. she's just so stressed out about it that subconsciously she's still thinking about it even while she's asleep. She dreamt she's suffocating because that's how she feel under the pressure of the ap exams. what you could do to help her is to help her relax and advice her that getting stressed out would only make it harder for her to prepare for the exams. Help her prepare a plan study so she could be better prepared for the ap exams…the only way for her to worry less is to prepare for the exams the best way she can… goodluck!…
Psycological/Sleeping problem Please help?

You may think I am crazy, and so will others, but she is experiencing lucid dreaming with "out of body" sensations. She is at a good step when she realized she was dreaming…and being unable to move is because the astral body had not completely returned to the physical. She was staring at the ceiling after it had returned.
No, I am not crazy! Google Robert Monroe and Astral Projections.

What you describe is an episode of sleep paralysis. Produces lots of anxiety but it is safe. If she keeps having these episodes and it troubles her, have her go to the doctor.
