Is this significant - electric shock sensations and odd dreams?

About 2 weeks ago when I was in anatomy class, I was dozing off and then it felt like an electric shock went through my body, and I jerked and woke up. i have a tendency to fall asleep in this class, it’s in the afternoon, despite being quite interested in the subject matter.

Then today, I took a nap when I got home from classes, and I dreamed that I was dreaming that I was dreaming - or something along those lines. I dreamed that I was sleeping, and woke up to find a torn paper, and on it was an official diagnosis for Asperger’s. It wasn’t just torn, but wet also. Then i woke up from that and saw there was a pile of paper - a torn spiral notebook, that I had torn up in my sleep, just like the paper. I woke up from that and saw there was no paper, but there was a loud wind (my dog was snoring, and the AC was on), and I realized I had been dreaming, and then my eyes started jerking and i had the thought “I’m having a seizure” and fell back to sleep. Up to now, that was all a dream, I assume, and then I finally truly woke up.

I am currently undergoing evaluation for Asperger’s disorder, but I don’t have an official diagnosis yet, let alone documentation for it, nor do I have spiral notebooks (I’m left handed and thus use legal pads instead). However, I have never had a seizure, so i don’t know where that part came from. Also, that particular aspect was strange - I felt certain I was awake, but then had the sensation of a nystagmus and then becoming unconscious. I can only assume I was still asleep/dreaming, but I’m not sure. In that portion the lights were off, while in the other portions of the dream the lights were on. i specifically remember the greenish light filtering in through the green curtains as well in the final part of the dream.

Earlier in the day (I also took a nap between my morning and afternoon classes) I dreamed I pulled blood on a dog (I work in a vet clinic) and it was blue and lipemic and I tasted it and it tasted milky.

Any ideas? I have been having rather odd sleep patterns lately, usually sleeping about 3-4 hours at night and then taking an hour nap late in the morning, then a 3-5 hour nap in the afternoon/evening. I probably have delayed sleep phase syndrome, as the description fits perfectly, but I haven’t been tested or anything because I didn’t realize it was a problem until recently.

It sounds like you have a good grasp on the essentials already, that's probably why no one else is answering.

First of all all your dreams are reminding me of someone with battle fatigue. You aren't getting enough good solid sleep are you?

I would take a B6 and a Magnesium before you go to bed at night, because that might help with your quality of sleep.

You are having a pretty full life, too full? That is why there is so much chaos and stress in your dreams. The interpretations of your dreams all point to saying you are exhasted and frustrated. Be decent and gentle with yourself. Good Luck
