Lately, I can’t fall asleep, I’ll lay in bed for hours with the lights off, trying to sleep. When/if I do finally fall asleep, it’s a very restless sleep and I wake up easily or I have terrifying dreams that wake me up. I also get terrible headaches in my sleep.
Do you know what this might be? And is it serious enough that I should see a doctor? If I don’t need a doctor, what are some home-made things that I could do?
All answers are GREATLY appreciated!
Hi Estelle
This sounds like a pretty unpleasant situation. The first thing to do is to look at what docs call “sleep hygeine” - what do you do before bed time, whats your caffeine intake like, do you drink lots of fluids before bed, smoking, stimulant drugs etc.
You also need to work hard to develop a regular bedtime ritual so that you send the brain the right kind of triggers to provoke sleep.
Having said all that however - my own sleep improved hugely when I got hold of the Nightwave Sleep Assistant. A simple little blue light machine that seems to work as if by magic at getting me off into a deep and restful sleep.

Hope that helps
Give nightwave a try - it worked wonders for me.
