When sour meets sweet 3.1
Angela has been in the hospital for 3 weeks. The boys have missed 3 weeks of shows that they will need to make up at the end of the tour. Nick has barely let Angela’s side. Chloe has been constantly having bad dreams about when they took her mother away, and now she was having more about her dad dying. Joe has noticed that the dreams of her dad seem to upset her more. They don’t talk about it at all during the day, but Joe sleeps in Chloe’s room with her every night. Joe’s parents have grown to trust them together. They know that aren’t doing anything. Bess has been really distant from Kevin, and everyone for that matter, since this whole thing with Angela happend. Everyone has noticed, but has been to concentrated on Angela to pay too much attention to it. There was a week when the doctors didn’t think she was going to make it. Nick had pretty much broken down, and cried himself to sleep by Angela’s side for 6 days straight. She needed a lot of blood. Chloe immediately checked herself into Angela’s hospital room so that blood could be constantly distributed from Chloe’s body to Angela’s. She was there for about two days, until Angela started to get better. (Idk… i guess that had the same blood type.) Joe was so proud of Chloe. She barely knew Angela, but she jumped at the oppurtunity to help her best friends love. She was really weak until her body could produce more blood cells, because she gave a lot of blood. This definately didn’t help her bad dreams.
Chloe opend her eyes to see Joe sitting sleepily in a chair beside her bed. She sat up and smiled.
“Good morning.” Joe got up and layed down beside her on top of the covers, and put his arm around her.
“Morning. How are you?”
“I’m good.” She answered. “When did you wake up?”
“I couldn’t sleep.” He smiled. He looked so tired.
“Was I better last night? I don’t remember waking up.”
That’s because she didn’t. She screamed and cried in her sleep.
“You were fine.” He lied.
“I’m sorry! I’m keeping you up. You don’t need to sleep in here anymore. I want you to get sleep. You really need it.”
“No! I would much rather stay in here. Ya know, make sure your alright.”
She talked him out of it, and that night he slept in his own room. That has gone untuoched since they got there three weeks ago.
JOES POV:
I layed down in a comfortable bed. I haven’t had a bed to myself in weeks. I love sleeping (in the same bed, i mean.) with Chloe, but man she tosses and turns, and I can’t get any sleep. Hopefully I will catch up on sleep tonight, and then I’ll stay with her again tommorow. I drifted off to a deep sleep. I Was dreaming about rocking out onstage. I missed that too. We’ve been so busy with everything, that we haven’t been able to perform. I really need to get back out there. In my dream, a fan was shaking me as I was walking by. I kept on walking, but she kept on shaking me! They shaking started feeling realer and realer(is that a word). They fan start crying.. Full blown sobs. I felt my shirt getting wet, she was getting my shirt all teary. I kept on walking, running, but I couldn’t get her off of me! Then she started yelling. “Joe! PLEASE!” I realized that that wasn’t a fan’s voice. It was Chloe’s.
I shot up in my bed to see Chloe. Her eyes very black, from her dark makeup being smeared from tears. I sat up some more, and wiped her eyes. She collapsed in my arms and cried into my shoulder. It broke my heart. Every tear hiccup she made, my heart broke more and more. I hated seeing her like this.
“I’m so sorry Joe.” What on earth does she have to be sorry for?
“Please. Don’t be sorry. I’m sorry that you have to go through this.”
“I’m sorry. I promise, I won’t bother you. Go back to sleep. I just need to be in the same room as you.”
“Chloe Marie.(THINK THAT WAS HER MIDDLE NAME?? IF NOT, IT IS NOW! ;]) You never bother me. Don’t say that ever again.”
He pulled up his covers for her to crawl in. She curled up next to me and put her head in between my arm my his body, and I held her close in my arms.
“Go to sleep. Please.” I said in calm, comforting voice.
“I’m not tired. You sleep I’ll be fine.” I looked down on her, and she looked exsausted. That was bull, she wanted to sleep so badly.
“Please. Babe. Go to sleep.” I wish she would just listen to me.
“Honestly. I can’t sleep. You go ahead.”
I started running my fingers up and down her back, trying to relax her. It put her to sleep everytime, but she was being more stubborn this time. So, I went to plan B. I sang her her song. The one I sang to her everynight we were together. She started to drift off.
“I love you.” She whispered before she drifted off to a deep sleep.
I watched her for the rest of the night. To make sure that she was okay. She’s my everything. I can give up a few nights of sleep for her.
